Ehh... We still have no power from the right side. Polanco doesn't hit home runs - it's not his game.. I'm sure we'll do something when the time comes.

So keep Rollins at lead off. Put Victorino 2nd and Polanco 5th...

the point is the absence of Werth in the line-up is not a big deal if Brown replaces him...our line-up will still have a good balance of power on the left and right

I never said it'd be 2011. Just a future line up for when, or if, Werth and Ibanez are gone. If Werth goes next year and Ibanez is still able to produce, then he replaces Gillies and jumps up in the line up, obviously.

Victorino's OBP has been higher than Rollins the past 4 years, and he isn't batting in the #1 hole. So i don't think you lose anything there...

Bottom line is if Werth goes, you have Brown take his spot despite which side of the plate he hits from.

This is your 2011 lineup? Where is Ibanez?Gillies may be a good prospect but he isn't going to be major league ready next year.

I'd move Rollins down too, but that ain't happening. Victorino hasn't exactly shown a stellar OBP either...

At that point I'd move Rollins down in the line up and then let him swing for the fence...

Victorino - S
Polanco - R
Utley - L
Howard - L
Rollins - S
Brown - L
Ruiz - R
Gillies - L
Pitcher - ?

Yeah, knowing the Phils, Moyer will get the spot for all of the reasons you mentioned... and I won't be happy about it. But then again, like you said, he won't keep it

It becomes a very interesting situation.

Moyer is old and fading. You know what you get with Moyer...6 innings, 3-4 runs. Damage control.

With Kendrick we really don't know. But if you look at the way he is pitching now, he looks like he can do no worse than that Moyer line.

The big problem comes with the money. Moyer will be making $8 million this season. Kendrick makes $480,000. For this reason alone, I think that Moyer is going to get the benefit of the doubt, much like Chan HO SUCK did last year.

My prediction...Moyer starts the season in the 5 spot. He goes 2-5 in his first 7 starts with a 5.85 ERA and then gets sent to the bullpen.

Kendrick comes in and holds the rotation down finishing the year as a #5 and keeping this rotation looking great for the next 2-3 years.
